Contents in Progress ....

With the latest advise from our Builder that the house might be ready in 8 weeks time, we have now slowly began the painful and arduous task of furnishing the Chocolate House on the Rise :-)

We came across the Coco Republic warehouse sale and came out with an 9 piece Dining Set as well as a 3 Seater Sofa Piece ....

Matched with the 2 seater Sofa Seat for the Family Room


Going to the Bedroom ;-) we were able to get a good bargain on 4 Bedroom Pieces for the Masters and the Kids Bedroom.

We came across a cute Finger Couch for the kids ...


For the Theater Room, we decided to furnish it with this :



All these will be delivered straight to the house which makes the MOVE easier but nevertheless still a PAIN - The pain of relocation and payments ;-)

Paint the House ... "Hog"

31.05.09 - This Blog has been dormant similar to the Season we currently are in Melbourne Now ... Autumn and similar to Colours of the Season ... the insides of the house is being painted with Hog ... Hog Bristle that is ... Try googling for the image colour and it's "beige-ish" in colour ...

Seen in the image is the Niche at the side Entrance. The Skirtings are the same as that of the Wall Colours while the Cornices and Architraves are Antique White in Colour

The Stairs hand rails are Light Cedar and the Balustrade coloured Black. The Bottom Treads and Risers are also coloured Light Cedar.

We are fortunate (?) again to find that the front door was unlock once more and be able to take a sneak peak inside the house ... here are some latest pics and since the theme of the week is Colours let me show you the different Colours (or lack thereof) inside the Chocolate House on the rise.

The Kitchen: Let's start with the Kitchen where the colour of the Benchtop is Glacier, the Glass Splashback is Kahlua Milk (huh?) the Overhead Cabinets and Cabinet doors are Oyster Linea ...

The Colours of the Facade house are also almost complete with the Colour of the Balcony Door (Jasper) and Timber Post (Moxa?)

The Main Door's Colour is Beige Royal ... not sure though whether the current Coating is the final one?



The Garage Door is Jasper similar to the rest of the Windows (not installed yet) ... I just noticed that the Garage Roofs are now sealed ...



The Fitting Stage begins next week and as per the Builder we are currently looking at an 8 week completion date ... The end of the journey is close at hand for the Chocolate House on the Rise ...
